Submissions

Submissions are open until 21st November

Submissions are now open for the spring chapbook series, to be published March 2025.

A chapbook is a small collection of poetry (approx. 10 - 20 poems), a short prose piece, or a creative fusion of prose and poetry, that offers powerful words and untamed reflections. You can see the previous autumn series here.

The guiding theme for the spring collection is emergence, and you can take this in any number of different ways! In general we will be looking for: poetry or prose (or a hybrid mix) that defies expectations; words that tumble and twist; raw, authentic, soulful writing. Your writing does not need to be about the wild world - it can be about anything. What’s most important is that you are writing from an untamed place, unafraid to push the boundaries and explode the binaries of what we have been conditioned to believe.

We particularly welcome submissions from writers inadequately represented in UK publishing.

HOW TO SUBMIT

Send an email to contact@thewildheartpress.co.uk with the subject SUBMISSION. Make sure to include information about your chapbook idea (could be a detailed plan, or just some initial notes), information about previous writing experience (published and unpublished writers welcome), as well as a short writing sample.
