SOULBOOK

scripting your pilgrimage back to self

closed for enrolment - Soulbook will run again autumn 2025

Join me as we tilt from autumn into winter, into the dark and soulful time of the year, to create your own soulbook, brought to life in time for Imbolc in early spring.

For decades we’ve been conditioned to believe that the only way to be a true writer is to be accepted by a big publisher. We’ve been reaching for this accolade, this confirmation - yes you are worthy - believing that without it we cannot be an author, we cannot write anything of note. But it is time to define our own pathway, to know and feel that we can forge our own stories, that we can bring our words and ideas to life. Because book-writing isn’t just writing a book: it’s an invitation to take ownership of your own story and your own life.

It isn’t easy to even voice this desire - to write from within, from your soul-self - but it is worth every flicker of doubt, every scrawl through pages you want to cut, every hour you wrestle with the bones of your stories. If you’re ready to script your own journey, if you’re ready to write what is true, and to see your intrinsic self emerge as a flame from the embers, I - Eleanor - invite you to join me.

It’s time to listen to the voice in the shadows, to the wild unseen.

Walking this pilgrimage will take courage. You will need to listen closely to the echoes of your ancestors, to the voices of your kith and kin, to what it is you truly feel. Together we will journey through three lunar cycles to unearth what you already hold within you, what is clawing to be heard.

Each of us will create a soulbook (inspired by the form of a chapbook), a collection of words that, though small, holds great power and magic. Think of our time together as a writing intensive fused with a deep immersion into the self. And by 1st February - the festival of Imbolc associated with birthing something new into the world - you will have scripted a small fragment of your own story, to either keep for yourself, or to share with others.

Imagine: it’s early February, and in your hands you hold the words you have woven, the soulbook you have crafted. For the first time, your voice is not a whisper in the shadows, but a clarion call of truth.

The programme will include. . .

OCTOBER - SPINNING TALES + MAKING MAGIC

SESSION 1: THE BONES - a rewilded approach to being a writer // why we need new ways of writing // what your soul is seeking & listening to your wild self // the bones of story // wild narrative structures to consider

Before Session 2 you will work on further planning and begin to write.

SESSION 2: THE BODY - embodied techniques for writing with your whole self // breathing life into your writing voice // stories as spells & fusing magic into words // mapping out the pathways of your soulbook & writing as pilgrimage

By the end of October you will submit an initial draft for feedback.

November -SHAPESHIFTING IN THE SHADOWS

1:1 CALL - at this mid-way point, we will have a 1:1 call (approximately 45 minutes) to discuss feedback from your first draft, as well as anything you might be struggling with. It will be your chance to ask me any questions, and to gain clarity for the second half of the process.

SESSION 3: TRANSFORMATION - the alchemical magic of crafting story // your soulbook as a living, breathing entity // reimagining your writing as it evolves // finding courage to transform and be a sovereign writer

Before Session 4 you will work on editing your soulbook.

December - INTO THE FERTILE VOID

SESSION 4: TRANSITION - the creative cycle // moving alongside fear and uncertainty // exploring your identity as a wild writer // preparting to birth your soulbook // closing ritual

After this session you will have until mid-January to complete your soulbook with email support and feedback from me. You then have the option to request a printed version, published and sent to your home in time for Imbolc (1st February).

In your soulbook you might write…

A small collection of poems about your life journey so far

A 5,000 word reflection on a significant life event

3 lyrical essays on beliefs you hold

A winding prose-poem that visualises your life in the current moment

or something else entirely!

& what I really want you to know is…

…you don’t need any experience to write your soulbook

…you don’t need to learn loads of new techniques and writing tricks

…you have everything you need within you already

enrolment is currently closed

Here’s everything you get when you sign up…

  • LIVE GROUP SESSIONS
In these 90-minute sessions (there are four in total), we will explore the process of writing your soulbook, from practical tips to embodied connection, from finding your voice to believing it is worthy.

  • WRITING FEEDBACK + 1:1 CALL
At the end of October, there will be an invitation for you to submit your first draft for feedback. I will spend two weeks reading and absorbing your words, before sharing my thoughts on how you might approach the next steps of this journey in a 1:1 call.

  • YOUR PRINTED SOULBOOK!
After the final live session, there will be an opportunity to submit your soulbook to be printed. I will organise this, including all the behind-the-scenes setup and design, and send you up to 5 copies in the post, in time for Imbolc, 1st February (UK students only).

  • THE LIBRARY
You will also receive access to a series of workshops run as part of the Wild Writers membership, including Activating Alchemy (ignite your vision for writing), Sovereign Writer (unearth your unique writing essence) and A Rewilded Text (exploding the ‘rules’ and binaries of writing).

  • Nope! The programme will work if you already have an idea, but if not we’ll explore this together in our first live session.

  • Wednesday evenings from 6.30-8pm, UK time. Replays will be available for all sessions.

  • Beyond showing up for the live sessions, there will be a certain amount of time needed for writing. You could manage to complete your soulbook in just an hour a week, or you could spend a whole day: it all depends on what you wish to create.

  • It is scary to admit to a dream, to dedicate time and money to achieving it. But there is also an undercurrent of excitement driving you forwards, and that’s what we’ll nurture together. And of course, I will be there for you every step of the way!

  • Yes! I am happy to welcome members from anywhere in the world. Please make a note of call timings to ensure you are able to attend (Wednesdays, 6.30pm UK time).
